Woods Hole: snowy doorways

snowfeb13x

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you will have noticed that I have a thing for doorways. Some of these Woods Hole houses have been shown before, but in other seasons. I took these photos after last weekend’s snow storm. The summer houses were undisturbed, but the year ’round ones had shoveled paths.  Enjoy!

  1. I paint watercolours as well as do fibre art and your last few postings with all those great photos have my fingers twitching real bad.Im hoping to see some felt winter wonderland pieces in the future.

  2. I can just see them all turning into felt! With embroidered and wire-wrapped winter stems adorned with fluffy white wool needlefelted on. The chairs look as if they are out there to enjoy the lovely day. Thanks SO much, yet again, Salley, for sharing your vision.

  3. The snowy doorways are beautiful ! I love the first and the last one, we do not have snow in Taiwan, snow is always beautiful to me. Thanks for sharing these photos 😀

  4. Such beautiful homes/doorways. The summer homes look a bit forlorn with the snow left unattended, but makes for great photos. All that cedar shingled goodness!! You live in a beautiful spot. Wendy

  5. Hello, from south Brazil. Your blog is great, the book is amazing – just ordered it from Amazon to read with my litle grand daughter Maya. Thank you, I´m sure we´ll have beautiful times with your book and your work.
