I always love collecting photos of signage. Other countries always seem to do them better than we Americans. Hats off to graphics designers worldwide. The Witchery looks particularly beguiling.
ENJOYED THESE PHOTOS VERY MUCH. I DON’T USUALLY THINK OF SCOTLAND AS A FOREIGN (NON ENGLISH SPEAKING) COUNTRY BUT THESE SIGNS MAKE ME SEE THAT
IT IS. HAVE YOU READ THE ALEXANDER MCCALL SMITH FICTIONAL BOOKS ABBOUT EDINBURGH? IF NOT YOU WILL ENJOY THEM – HUMOROUS AND KIND HEARTED.
Oh yes, I love Smith’s books, including his series set in Botswana.
Loved the Witchery sign. I am fascinated by doors, door-knockers, signs and gates. I am so glad to see these.
