Just a quick post to let you know that I’ve got almost everything for the new Felt Wee Folk compiled and ready to send off to C&T publishing by the March deadline. Rob and I keep thinking of more still life setups to photograph, so I predict we’ll be busy adding finishing touches up ’til the last minute. This scene in the light box shows an array of project materials, along with a helpful cast of characters doing laundry.
I can hardly wait!
Was thinking about the new book yesterday. Ready when you are!
I’m so excited to see the new book. Like above – ready when you are.
Salley, I love your Wee World! Must feel good to be at this stage. Are you planning the next project already?!!
It does feel good, Judy. But, I won’t breath easily until it’s all packed and sent! Next project–clean up and gather tax materials.
Congratulations! I now appreciate what it takes to get your books done.
Can’t wait to see it and have one of mine own.
Happy Stitching
There have been times in my life when I wished fervently that The Borrowers were real. Likewise, I wish that you and Rob had to ask Wee Felt Folk to please, hold still and smile, while you took their pictures, before they went on about their business. Do you ever get notes to the effect, “No more cherry twist…?”
I loved The Borrowers, too! Our family of wee folk are pretty good about holding still for the photographs, but they sometimes tip over, like they’re fainting.
I also cannot wait til the new book is published! I wish my husband would be interested in the things I create!
I am so excited for your new book Salley, I can’t wait! Can we pre-order?
Thanks, Jenny. It’ll be out in a year, which will just wiz by! I’ll announce if/when it’s possible to pre-order the book.
Well done on the deadline… can’t wait for the new book to come out!!
So gorgeous Salley! I’m just in the process of making some paper dolls. Isn’t it fabulous that we can play and have such fun!Your photos look so delightful.I always feel I connect with my child self when I look at your books! Thanks for sharing the process with us.
